Prevalensi Kemampuan Mengecap Phenylthiocarbamide (PTC) Pada Penduduk Pulau Gili Ketapang Kabupaten Probolinggo

The taste of sensitivity Phenylthiocarbamide (PTC), is autosomal dominant trait inherited. taster controled by allele while the non-taster determinated recessive allele. purpose this study was to determine prevalence and frequency alleles for PTC, as well inheritance patterns at population Gili Ketapang island, Probolinggo district. Determination sample or respondents carried out randomly, total were 384 people, aged from 15-30 years. Detection PTC ask solution. solution used lowest concentration 0.32mg/L (P13) highest 1300 mg/L (P1). results showed that 96.88% 3.12%, respectively. (T) 0.83 0.17. pedigree analysis individuals born heterozygous pairs (Tt) marriages between individual with non-tasters (tt).
